Ideas For You

The Halloween decorating projects continue. For today’s installment I created paper bag luminaries by cutting the bird and tree shapes out using my Cricut. I laid the shapes down onto the brown bags and then coating them with a dark grey spray paint. These are filled with sand and tea lights and will line the driveway on Halloween night.

Halloween brings out the crafty in me. I love anything with skulls and monsters. I created this green Ogre-like monster wall hanging using felt mostly. It is hanging on my front door, greeting guests with a sweet and scary welcome. For more Halloween click HERE.

I love Halloween. LOVE! Growing up in the Mid-West, Fall is such a colorful season filled with specific smells. I wait all year for Honey Crisp Apples to come into season along with Apple Cider and Sour Cream Donuts, not to mention all things pumpkin flavored. Living in Arizona can be kind of a buzz kill for those Fall feelings. I looked up the weather and it appears that we will have a solid month still of 100 degree days. Enough already – I am ready to wear boots and pull out the scarves. Soon,  I tell myself and then we Arizonians will live in paradise for six months. So for now, while I wait for the shift in weather, I am going to will the season by thinking Fall. I have put all of my Halloween decorations up and will be posting highlights throughout the month so stay tuned for those. In the mean time here is the direct link to all of the past HALLOWEEN goodies. Enjoy!
