I needed to send a thank you note out to a special person and decided it was worth taking the time to make a lovely card. I used Bazzill Basics Herbal Garden colored card stock, a red satin ribbon, clear hot rocks and my Cricut along with the Trim The Tree Cartridge to make it. It is so festive I am loving it.

A simple project as we all gear up for the holidays is a gingerbread book. Make this book and you’ll be ready to write a story in it, do drawings in it or tape in photographs of your gingerbread house making party.  This book is made using the fabulous new Your Story Photo machine.

For the Fall Harvest Festival at the short ones school I made caramel leaf  cupcakes. I thought the kids would be a bit pickier so I made both chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. I was wrong they just devoured without taking flavor into account for a second. The frosting was butter-cream, tinted orange and flavored with almond.

The topper was thin caramel sheets cut on my Cricut Cake, using the leaf shape on the Cake Basics cartridge. set the design up multiple times on my Gypsy and then just laid down sheets of the caramel you can buy for caramel apples and let it cut.

After I had all of the leaves cut out I just bent them over, sort of in half by hand and them placed them on top of the frosted cupcakes.

I found a great Halloween tee-shirt at a thrift store and I turned it into a bag for trick-or-treating.

Here is how to make one:

1. Find a size large t-shirt at a thrift shop. Cut off the arms and neck but leave a small amount that will act as the handles.

2. Flip it inside out and sew along the bottom, closing it off the create the bag shape.

3. Turn it right side out and now it is time to decorate.

4. I cut a spider out of black broad cloth on the Cricut and ironed it on using Wonder Under Fusible Web. I attached yellow felt, green foam and googly eyes for the eye area.

5. I then attached black and white safety pins, a black shoelace for the spiders string, black and white ribbon and then used a rubber stamp “boo” along the bottom edge.

Make yourself a DIY trick-or-treat bag.

Party planning for Halloween night I had to touch the spooky to every surface. I made these martini glasses an instant Halloween hit by cutting spiders out of vinyl on the Cricut using Halloween cartridges and attaching them to the outside of the glasses. I also painted my fingernails black and cut a skeleton head out of white vinyl on the Cricut and made finger nail decals. I am all set for the party!
