Spring is upon us and that means celebrating with flowers. I used my Cuttlebug to make a flower filled belt.
I found a great canvas, army green belt at the dollar store and used the Asterisks and flower Cuttlebug dies to cut yellow and pink wool felt flowers.
I used Tacky Glue to glue the pieces together and to glue the flowers to the belt.
I allowed it to dry over night and voila’ a cute, spring time flower belt.

I made this fun and edgy skull bracelet for Mardi Gras. It has the green and purple colors and the spooky skull theme often associated with New Orleans and Mardi Gras. I made the cuff and the skull out of Shrinky Dink material. The skull is cut on the Cuttlebug using the Beware Cuttlebug Die and then shrunk with a heat gun.

Valentines Day fashion can be a lot of fun, especially when made for the wee ones. I made this onesie for the smallest one. I used the Sweet Treats cartridge and my Cricut to cut out the super cute cupcake on black construction paper and I hand cut the LOVE letters also out of black construction paper used that to burn a YUDU screen. Then I print the onesie with brown ink and red ink using my YUDU which I so heart – super yum! Readers: you can also buy my screen-printed tees and onesies at MADE and a.ware

Does a man friend in your life have a drawer full of scrap, leftover hardware parts and pieces? We’ll dig in because those abandoned washers and such can turn into a super stylish piece of neckwear. This piece using hardware supplies was inspired by the re-styling projects created over at P.S. I Made This.

Found at a recent clothing swap held at Blueberry Deluxe Boutique in the Melrose District: 1 Marimekko Dress.
Dilemma: Short girls (i.e. The Thrifty Maker) can’t wear full body floral prints.
Solution: Restyle it! Marimekko dress meet scissors because your are about to have a makeover. This Marimekko dress retails for more than $100 and a Marimekko bag alone is about $89. (Check out Finn Style for proof.) Cost for this skirt and bag (free), around ¢25 for thread, ¢30 for binding tape and ¢60 for a silk ribbon. Total cost: $1.15.
