My love hate relationship with Anthropologie is really a love. I just say hate because most of the time I am in there I say “I wish I would have made that!” Sometimes I do purchase goodies that I can write off as business expenses and I turn them into crafts for sale. This is one such project. I purchased these fabulous tea towels there, brought them home and instantly put them to a functional use other then just hand wiping. I made them into pillow covers. This was a really simple sewing project and next to the tea towels themselves you just need some pillow forms, scrap fabric and some ribbon or ties. For the complete tutorial chick here: Tea Towel Pillows. Pick up some cute tea towels from anywhere and make these pillows. Happy Crafting xoxo Lovely Lula.

When I was in college I used to make painted floor cloths all the time but it had been years. I was inspired of late to get back at it. However, instead of hand painting the whole deal I painted just the background color and then used the Cricut to cut out a tea set from the Heritage Cartridge. I then used the YUDU to screen-print the tea set design onto my floor cloth! So Happy – I love it! This little yummy greets you at my front door as you enter my house. It is hard to tell in this shot but it is 5.5 feet long by 2.5 high. For a tutorial click here:  Tea Set Floor Cloth How To. Happy Crafting xoxo LL

“What do I do if I’m not chasing anything,
What do I do if I’ve got everything that I need,
It’s a question that no one’s prepared me to answer.”
Daniel Nahmod

Luckily my friend Viva opened my eyes to Pinterest the other day. So I can now make digital wish lists and inspiration boards. So now I’ll always be on top of those things I really need. Like the ice-cream making attachment bucket for my Kitchen aid Mixer. Just saying!

After reading the book Hattie Big Sky I have been uber inspired to use what I have in my pantry and freezer and add only fresh veggies, milk and eggs. My first day of this I whipped up a really delicious baked pasta dish. The tall one asked where I found the recipe! Ha – invented out of ingredients I had on hand. I also made home made biscuits. They didn’t really rise and didn’t look that great but they tasted fantastic. For desert I made a baked cream of wheat pudding that received rave reviews from all! I love being limited – it really makes me so creative. I am also now working on raised bed planter boxes to grow veggies – thanks Hattie Big Sky for the inspiration! I have had a roll of chalkboard oilcloth sitting around for a while and was not sure exactly what to do with it. Then I thought screen-print on it! So I hand drew a variety of different frames and screen printed them onto the oilcloth using the YUDU and metallic inks. Then I stitched the frames onto larger pieces of colored fabric vinyl, decorated a bit and finished them off with top corner grommets. I had so much fun I made about 20 of these, each different and unique. Below are just a few. For the complete tutorial click here:  Oilcloth Chalk Boards How To. Happy Crafting xoxo Lovely Lula
