How many times have you walked past an ugly apron at a thrift store or a yard sale? Well check this out as a way to rock an old one and make it pop. Adding touches of embroidery is easy. This camping embroidery idea came from Jenny Hart’s Sublime Stitching collection. I just drew it myself though instead of going through the ironing steps – each to his own though. I am headed off for a Summer camping trip and made an apron for the trip.

A plain tank top can be super boring, so why not spice it up a bit? Take a simple solid color cotton tank, chop it up, add some new fabric, like this hot pink wood grain, and boom you have a new styling piece to wear that is one of a kind.

Royal Wedding Fever – Wedding Dress Re-Styled

The Royal Wedding is just days away and since everyone loves a fairy tale, I used the Royal Wedding as inspiration to transforms a late 1980’s / early 1990’s style wedding dress into a contemporary wedding frock for a fun spirited occasion,  with a touch of the hottest wedding trend, black.

I put out a request on Facebook and the offers came — Spring cleaning I guess.

A plain T-shirt can be great when you feel like cleaning out your fridge, but if you have bigger plans, it might be time to shake it up a bit. And if you mix that plain tee with a worn-out blouse, you’ll have a winning combo for an all-new piece.

It’s nearing summer, which means sunglasses are no longer a fashion statement but a necessity. But let’s not let the personal style go.  I picked up a pair of bedazzled shades in Mesa’s The Goods Store and decided to use a little inspiration to jazz up my own pair (and an equally necessary carrying case) by adding a healthy dose of cabochons, which can found in many stores on Etsy and at local crafty spots including SAS.

Learn how I made them at my post over at the Phoenix New Times Jackalope Ranch blog post: Sunglasses, Restyled (Case Included)
