I have had a roll of chalkboard oilcloth sitting around for a while and was not sure exactly what to do with it. Then I thought screen-print on it! So I hand drew a variety of different frames and screen printed them onto the oilcloth using the YUDU and metallic inks. Then I stitched the frames onto larger pieces of colored fabric vinyl, decorated a bit and finished them off with top corner grommets. I had so much fun I made about 20 of these, each different and unique. Below are just a few. For the complete tutorial click here:Â Oilcloth Chalk Boards How To. Happy Crafting xoxo Lovely Lula
I am so super excited about this rocking, blinged out pin cushion cupcake that I made. I used many new fun things. The “cupcake wrapper” is actually a Silicone Baking Cup made by Wilton and it is filled with ground up walnut shells. The pink fabric that serves as the icing is made by using Texture Magic by Superior Threads. I am seriously in love with this stuff – it is sort of like shrinky dink for fabric – so super cool! Then I used the new irock by Imaginisce to bling out the button on the top and the ribbon on the side. Oh what fun that thing is! But be careful and do not let children use unsupervised as it gets really hot. I am crazy for how many “hot rock” colors they have. xoxo happy crafting LL
Disclosure I was given the irock product for free to play with.
To celebrate spring time I made a girls pillow-case dress, inspired by the book “Craft Challenge: Dozens of Ways to Repurpose a Pillowcase†by Suzanne J. E. Tourtillott
I started with a vintage pillow-case that I found at a thrift store for a buck ninety-nine. I added in a second vintage/ used pillow-case also purchased at a thrift store that had a print. I used the Cricut Forever Young cartridge and several of the flower dies for the Cuttlebug to make appliques. Â The full how to is located in the downloadable PDF below titled Pillow-case dress. This is a one day project not including the thrift shopping which I encourage you to do often because there are so many goodies to be had at thrift shops and yard sales.
The things you’ll need for this project include:    vintage/used pillow case(s), sewing machine, thread, scissors, Cricuit, Cuttlebug, chalk, no-sew tape, iron, fusible interfacing and Velcro or buttons.
Enjoy making this project and happy crafting! Lovely Lula
